Glossy Box December

This months Glossy box was the Bejewelled Christmas edition which Im happily impressed with. The silver Glossy Box boasted a full size Seche Vite nail polish which retails at £9.95 on its own, a generous 70ml sized tube of Rituals Magic Touch body cream, a full size lipstick by Sleek which retails at £4.99, a Kryolan for Glossy Box blusher which is really highly pigmented, a sample of Mary Greenwell's Lemon perfume which I expected to hate because I dont like Lemons and two sachets of Argentum Apothecary's La Potion Infinie which I wish I could bathe in because Ive only used it once and love it already!

Glossy Box November

Yes I cracked and finally gave in to the beauty box brigade. Im not a total newbie to beauty boxes but I had previously cancelled my past subscriptions due to a few rather disappointing boxes, anyway spurred on by a special offer I gave in and renewed my subscription with Glossy Box.
My November Glossy Box arrived today and I have to say Im actually quite happy at the contents. There are a  couple of products I havent heard of namely Alison Claire's Mango Body Butter which smells absolutely divine and has an amazing moisturing and cooling effect on the skin and Wei's Black Soy instant lifting face treatment pad which Im really looking forward to trying. There is a decent sized sample of Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant which is an amazing product containing Salycylic Acid which helps to exfoliate and brighten your skin, its also great for acne scarred skin. There is a sample size of the cult Nails Inc colour in Porchester Square and the one Im most excited about a 15ml tube of Dr Jart Beauty Balm which Ive heard alot of rave reviews about. So all in all Im really happy with the contents - to be honest I feel that Glossy Box has come along way since I last subscribed - for me the box which came today has really hit the mark. Its everything I want to see when I open a beauty box - some wonderful products you maybe wouldn't normally buy without having tried them along with a few cult favourites which you should never be without. Well done to the Glossy Box Team.

March Amarya Box

Its beauty box time again.
Im going to keep it short and sweet this month - I wasn't disappointed with this months box but I wasnt over the moon about it either. The products are fab and the Amarya box is excellent value for money but I definately think they really spoiled us with last months box. I love natural and organic products but I felt the products in this months box had more of a manly feel about them so my husband is now the proud owner of the John Masters Shampoo and Lip Calm.

This month in my Amarya box I received a full size bottle of John Masters Organics lavender rosemary shampoo which retails at £16, a full size of the John Masters Lip Calm which retails at £6, a sample of Ren anti-ageing concentrate and a sample of Inlight Daily Face Oil. You can subsribe to Amarya for just £10 a month.

Has anyone else received the Amarya Box this month ?
What did you think ?

February Amarya Box

This month I have only one word to describe Amarya's February Beauty Box.
AMAZING !

In this months box I received a Neom Happiness Treatment Travel Candle which retails for £13.00, a full size Zoya nail polish in Avery which retails for £10, a 15ml tube of Organic Avocado Replenishing cream which retails for £6 and a 15ml sachet of Organic Rose Moisturiser all for just £10 and no extra charge for postage.

Ive been wanting to try a Neom candle for a while so I was really over the moon when I seen this nestling in the box - the smell is divine, its fragranced with white neroli, mimosa, lemon and natural fresh grass notes to "create the awakening of spring". Neom candles are made with 100% vegetable wax and pure aromatherapy oils so they burn cleanly. It really does smell just like spring in a jar and the website says " This lively blend of happy notes will make you smile, take the weight off your shoulders and sprinkle a little joy into your world"
 I know Im smiling !

Zoya is a brand I have known for a few years and they do a fantastic range of nail polish colours. Zoya is also free from formadehyde, toluene and Camphor and formulated to deliver the longest wear possible on natural nails. I received the gorgeous Avery which is described as a blonde, beige cream which I think delivers a perfect nude coloured look on the nails.

The next product is a brand that Im not familiar with and is from a company called Essential care. Im a huge fan of Dr Haushka Rose Day Cream but I think this little tube of Organic Avocado Replenshing Cream may become another favourite. This smells amazing and feels light on the skin,  the website describes it as " a sumptuous aromatherapeutic night or rich day cream with nature's finest contribution to smoothing out lines and promoting skin regeneration" It really feels like its giving your skin a little drink and my face was baby smooth after using it.

The last product is a sachet of the Essential Care Organic Rose Moisuriser , the website says this is "a luxurious, antioxidant light-textured day-cream" and is "naturally high in antioxidants of vitamins A & E ". This moisturiser was quickly absorbed and has a nice light texture to it and as it contains rose it smells beautiful.

Im glad Amarya included the Essential Care products in this months box as its probably not a brand I would have went out of my way to try however I will definately be giving one of these moisturisers a try when my rose day cream runs out.

Overall another amazing box from Amarya.

How was your beauty box this month?

January Amarya Box

Im a bit late with this post - so I'll keep it short.
Ive been meaning to blog about this for a couple of weeks but other things just seem to keep popping up ! Oooops ! Anyway better late than never and I didnt want to miss a month so here is my review of the January Amarya Beauty Box.

One thing I will say was I panicked when I seen the size of the box but when I opened it I just thought WOW ! For £10 and no extra fee for postage I received a full size Dr Haushcka Rose Day Cream which was one of my hero products for 2011 and is retailed at £19.99. I am absolutely in love with this day cream - my skin seems to look brighter and healthier when Im using it and someone even told me my skin was glowing the other day - result!
I also received 5ml of John Masters jojoba and ginseng exfoliating face cleanser - its got a nice refreshing smell and is said to stimulate the circulation and restore vibrancy whilst reoxygenating and nourishing the skin. Its a gentle exfoliator so you dont feel like your scrubbing away the surface of the skin and I managed to squeeze two exfoliating treatments out of the 5ml. The tester wont really tempt me to buy this though as I am hooked on my Elemis Skin Buff.
I also received 3ml of the Caudalie Day Perfecting Fluid - You use this in the morning and it has the added bonus of containing an SPF 15.  The fluid is an oil-free moisturiser which is said to help regenerate the skin and give it a radiant glow. It also helps to smooth out lines, minimise pores and reduce dark spots. This had a lovely fresh smell and I found that it definately gave my skin a little bit of a glow, but I dont know if Id be tempted to buy the full size of this or not as I felt like I just covered up any of the benefits of it when I put my makeup on.
Overall I really liked the January box it was fantastic value for money.
Anyone thinking about subscribing to a beauty box should definately give Amarya a try.

December Amarya Beauty Box

For anyone mulling over the idea of subscribing to a beauty box and wondering whether they are worth the money I would say go for it. I decided to subscribe to a few to see if they were worth the monthly subscription fee and the first one to arrive this month is the Amarya Beauty Box.
Amarya charge £10 per box with no extra fee for postage which is another little bonus. The Amarya Beauty Box promises Organic and Natural products for you to try and they also say that each box will contain a full sized product or products worth atleast £20 as well as trial sized products and samples of the newest products on the market and an exclusive mystery offer which is only available to beauty box subscribers.

So whats in the box ?

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box.
The first product I looked at was the REN Neroli Duo Gift Set. The box has a beautiful de Gournay design and will be perfect for keeping some goodies in.
This product retails at £28 and I received the exact set seen below - You receive 200ml of  Neroli and Grapefruit Body Wash and 200ml of Neroli and Grapefruit Body Cream - Ive tried these out over the last few days and must say Im really enjoying them - they have a lovely fresh fragrance and I feel that they are gentle on my sensitive skin. This is the first time I have tried any REN products - I dont know if I would pay £28 for this set if I hadnt received it in the beauty box but it is definately quite satisfying knowing that you have received good value for money.

I also received a 30g trial size of Dr Haushka cleanser which Im really pleased about as Ive been tempted to invest in a new cleanser - this gives you the opportunity to try before you buy and the 30g is a great size compared to some of the testers you receive if you visit the beauty counters. This is a very gentle cleansing cream which you use on damp skin by gently pressing into the skin after you remove your make-up. This gives you a deep cleansing effect - the pressing sort of acts as a vacuum clearing the pores.

The final beauty product I received was a sample of the Acorell Eau De Parfum in Wheat Almond - the scent reminds me of the Creative Nail Design Almond Spa Manicure products I use in my salon - very yummy. I hadn't heard of Acorelle before but having tried this it would definately make me think about buying a full size product. I received 1.5 ml of this but have copied the full size for you to see. The bottle is very simple but classy and there are eight different fragrances as well as the wheat almond to try.

I also received a £10 voucher to spend if I buy £50 of products before the 31st of December and an Amarya bag . If Im being really picky then I would say it would have been better to offer a voucher which you didnt need to spend £50 to be able to redeem. Overall Im really pleased with the Amarya Beauty Box and looking forward to seeing the next one.
