Ciate Angel Wings

Hope you are all having a good week.

So its day six of the Ciate Mani Month Calendar and todays colour is Angel Wings, for a brief moment I felt a pang of disappointment when I opened todays door but I mean brief ! I thought Angel Wings was going to be another Halo - very pretty but very sheer -  how wrong was I ?! Angel Wings is a gorgeous, elegant pearly white polish with a hint of shimmer to it. It has a great consistency, is easy to apply and quick to dry. This is my nails with two coats of Angel Wings although when seeing it photographed it still looks quite sheer at two coats. The only downside to this polish is that it will pretty much show up any imperfections on your nails which you will usually tend to find with metallic polishes, a quick buff and some ridge filling base coat will solve that problem.

Ciate Cabaret

Hi everyone

Day five of my Ciate calendar and today we have the beautiful Cabaret - a gorgeous deep purple colour. I find this quite an unusual purple in the sense that all of my other purple polishes seem to have an element of shimmer or a metallic look to them however this is a matte purple. Its also alot deeper than shown in the pictures but since we seem to be losing any sort of decent daylight these days I need to use the flash on my camera. Cabaret has an excellent consistency and is easy to apply and quick to dry, this is two coats but I do think it would have looked better with another coat, although Im so impressed with the dry time of these colours Ive got my eye on the Ciate quick dry top coat.  Oh and before I forget I also love the little message behind door number five. Its a famous quote by Coco Chanel - " A girl should be two things, classy and fabulous"

Ciate Caviar Pearls Prom Queen

Good Morning Everyone

Day four of the Ciate Mani Month Calendar brings us the wacky Caviar Pearls in Prom Queen. Im not a massive fan of the Caviar Pearls but I do think if they are applied correctly they can look pretty funky, although for me, Ive kept it to a ring finger accent of Prom Queen and the rest of my nails done in Cupcake Queen from Day 1. The pearls are cerise, silver and dark blue with tiny little sequins in the same colour. So what do you guys think ?

Glossy Box November

Yes I cracked and finally gave in to the beauty box brigade. Im not a total newbie to beauty boxes but I had previously cancelled my past subscriptions due to a few rather disappointing boxes, anyway spurred on by a special offer I gave in and renewed my subscription with Glossy Box.

My November Glossy Box arrived today and I have to say Im actually quite happy at the contents. There are a  couple of products I havent heard of namely Alison Claire's Mango Body Butter which smells absolutely divine and has an amazing moisturing and cooling effect on the skin and Wei's Black Soy instant lifting face treatment pad which Im really looking forward to trying. There is a decent sized sample of Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant which is an amazing product containing Salycylic Acid which helps to exfoliate and brighten your skin, its also great for acne scarred skin. There is a sample size of the cult Nails Inc colour in Porchester Square and the one Im most excited about a 15ml tube of Dr Jart Beauty Balm which Ive heard alot of rave reviews about. So all in all Im really happy with the contents - to be honest I feel that Glossy Box has come along way since I last subscribed - for me the box which came today has really hit the mark. Its everything I want to see when I open a beauty box - some wonderful products you maybe wouldn't normally buy without having tried them along with a few cult favourites which you should never be without. Well done to the Glossy Box Team.

Ciate Halo

Good Morning Lovelies

 

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend.

So we are on to day three of my Ciate calendar and todays colour is Halo.

I found the consistency of this one a bit gloopy for some reason and these kinds of shades arent usually my favourites but I have to say Im actually quite liking Halo, its a sheer pearlescent glittery shade with rainbow hints to it which gives natural nails a pretty glow, you could layer this to add extra dimensions to  a stronger  colour. This is my nails au natural with three coats of Halo.

Ciate Dangerous Affair

Morning everyone, so we are on to day two of my Ciate Mini Mani Month Calendar, and I have to say Ciate - where have you been all my life?? As I mentioned in yesterday's post the formulation is fab but one thing I didnt mention is the dry time !! This polish is dry and I mean seriously touch dry by the time you have finished one coat on one hand ! Thats right ladies !! Im really impressed ! So today's colour is Dangerous Affair and its an absolutely beautiful deep, berry red shade - its great for the winter and a much deeper shade than in my pictures ! Anyway please excuse my particularly shoddy paint work this morning !! I painted these in five minutes on my way out the door (with no top coat!! EEEK !!!)

Ciate Cupcake Queen

Woop woop, lets here it for the 1st of December - well no actually lets hear it for the girl who's actually managed to hold off opening her Ciate Mini Mani Month Calendar until the 1st of December, yes its been a hard job staring at the blasted thing every day but I somehow managed it and I  cant believe how good Ive been ha ha. So what I want to do is share each day with you and let you see the different colours you receive in the calendar (I hope I can keep it up, wish me luck), every day also has a cute little message inside each door which you can see from the pictures, any way the first polish up is Cupcake Queen - I love the name, I love the formulation and the brush is amazing even though its a mini polish. Loving it !!
