Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil Binge

My addiction to Urban Decay continues and this week Ive been reaching for Urban Decay's Eye Pencil in Binge. These pencils are amazingly soft and creamy to apply which makes them excellent for precision lining or creating more of a  smudged effect with your eyeliner. They are extremely pigmented and long lasting and you can even use them on your water line. Binge is a gorgeous dark blue with a silver hint to it and I think it brings something a little different to a day time or night time look. I think this would look fantastic with a dark smokey eye using Urban Decay's Gunmetal eyeshadow but today Ive chosen to wear a slightly more natural look.

Estee Lauder and Elizabeth Hurley Dream Lip Collection

So I got a little gift at the weekend and I wanted to share it with you guys. My hubby presented me with an early Christmas present. Ive been lusting after the Estée Lauder and Elizabeth Hurley Dream Lips gift set since it was released and I was disappointed to find that everywhere I looked it seemed to be sold out so when I was presented this little gift along with the Evelyn Lauder Dream Pin I have to say I was a little excited to say the least. Hats off to the boy what a way to cheer a girl up.

Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil Stash

This gorgeous Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil Stash is a set of five colour coded, waterproof  pencils which can be used as eyeshadow pencils or eyeliner. These amazing "crayons" are creamy enough that they blend easily but not so creamy that you end up wiping half of it off  -  although they do set quickly so you have to be quick if you want to blend them. I love this set for creating a nice neutral eye with Juju (frosted taupe) or Sin (shimmering champagne) and also for creating something a bit more daring with Clash (bright turquoise w/silver sparkle) or Delinquent (dark purple w/bright purple sparkle).

This is a great little gift for Christmas and I purchased mine from Fragrance Direct for £11.99 - BARGAIN !!

Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil

I seem to be constantly fighting against dry itchy skin on my legs and my Nuxe Huile Prodigeuse has really been helping me tackle this problem however Ive been on the look out for something similar but with a less hefty price tag - Step forward Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil. This nourishing dry body oil is a fantastic product which contains Argan, Macadamia, Almond and Rose oil. Ive been using this oil everyday and my legs are no longer dry, scaley (yuck) and itchy ! The pump spray bottle makes it easy to apply all over and a little definitely goes along way, the only thing I didnt like about this oil is that it is quite highly fragranced and although not unpleasant you could probably give your regular perfume a miss when wearing it.

Topshop Nail Polish Thorn

Thorn by Topshop has to be the most perfect nail polish colour for the winter. Its a rich, deep burgundy/dark berry shade which would look perfect with any outfit - Im thinking it would look really great with beige or navy.  Topshop nail polish is one of my favourite mid priced buys - the formula is fantastic, its quick to dry and so easy to apply. Although not dirt cheap the £6.50 price target is pretty reasonable for the quality you get. Thorn is sold out at the moment on line but still available in many Topshop branches.

The perfect partner for my Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation is this gorgeous synthetic optical blurring brush which helps me apply my foundation evenly and flawlessly.

Urban Decay Smoked

As soon as I laid my eyes on the Smoked palette by Urban Decay I knew I had to have it.

A portable palette which has been designed to create the perfect smoky eye and includes ten shades ranging from the neutral Kinky and Freestyle to the jewel toned Rockstar, Evidence and Loaded, the Smoked palette also includes a black eyeliner in Perversion and a trial size of the newly packaged eye primer, which gets a massive thumbs up as I really didnt like the old style tube, in theory it looked fab but being practical I always thought I wasted a huge amount.

The eyeshadows in the Smoked palette are highly pigmented, creamy and easy to blend with very little fall out but that being said if you like more neutral shades I would probably stick to both of  the Naked palettes. Im a bit of a rock chick at heart and I do love a smoky eye but one of the things I like most about this palette is that you can create a traditional smoky eye or something a bit different. A easy to follow tutorial booklet is also included to help you make the most out of your palette. I re-created the iconic smoky eye with colour for you to have a look at.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation

Since I fell in love with the Naked Palettes I seem to be building up quite a collection of Urban Decay products, so when I was on the hunt for a new foundation Urban Decay seemed like the natural choice. Naked Skin by Urban Decay is quite a new kid on the block but what it lacks in maturity it more than makes up for in quality.

"Coverage without compromise" is the tagline for Urban Decay's latest offering in the foundation market and I have to say it is bloomin amazing !!

When applied with the Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush, Naked Skin gives wonderful coverage without being heavy, you can build up your coverage or keep it light for a fantastic luminous finish. This foundation uses special "light-diffusing spheres to "blur" imperfections" and is free from parabens which I think is another brilliant plus point. Naked Skin is also packed with green tea and vitamin E which help neutralize free radicals and promote collagen production for smooth and supple skin.

I have completely fallen in love with this foundation. It feels lovely on your skin and is so easy to apply, infact I once colour matched I would go as far as to say its pretty fool proof. Im not normally a foundation lover but as I get older I feel that I need a little more coverage and this is great because you can use as little or as much as you like - definitely worth a try.

Mac Glamourdaze Lipstick Friday

Hi everyone

Hope you are all well - thank goodness its Friday !!

Ive had one of those weeks where everything that can go wrong seems to have gone wrong !! One of those weeks where I have been completely forgetful - I drove an hour to the shops to return an item only to find I had left my wallet at home ! Ooops !! Anyway enough of my woes - Positive thinking is the way forward ha ha !!

Today Im wearing the gorgeous Glamourdaze lipstick by Mac - described as a mid tone creamy plum I would say its quite got quite a cool tint to it, I dont think I would go a far as to say its a mid tone plum but when applied to my lips I would probably describe is a very light plum/dark rose colour. Leopard Print Nails

I went a little wild with my nails this week and decided to finally try out my Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Strips in Kitty Real. The strips are really easy to use although a little pricey for everyday wear -  I did manage to find some on ebay for around £5 for a pack of two. These are definitely a great way to do your nails for a special occasion or if you want something a bit different but arent really into nail art, they come in lots of different patterns and the strips are said to last around ten days. I do Minx professionally and we are told to tell customers that Minx will last five days max on hands although I have seen them lasting up to two weeks on people depending if they look after their nails well enough! A word of warning though do not open the pack and leave them unsealed - the strips dry out and you wont be able to use them  - take it from someone who learned the hard way ha ha. What do you guys think ?? I think they are pretty purrfect ha ha xx

Muji Make up Brush Storage

Ive been on the look out for the perfect storage system for my ever expanding  collection of  make up brushes. My wish list for this "perfect" storage was something which keeps everything tidy, something which doesnt cost the earth and something which looks nice on my dressing table.  I currently have the Muji acrylic drawers to store my make up and they are a complete god send - you can see where everything is and they keep everything nice and neat which keeps my Virgo neat freak tendancies under control - think Kardashian style makeup storage for a fraction of the cost. Whilst having a look on the Muji site for another set of acrylic drawers I came across this little desk tidy which is perfect for keeping my brush collection under control. Lipstick Friday Estee Lauder Crystal Tiramisu

Today Im wearing the gorgeous Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal lipstick in Tiramisu. The thing I love most about this lipstick is the glossy finish, infact I think its a wannabe gloss in lipsticks clothing ha ha. The formulation is so smooth and creamy and its such a nice lipstick to wear infact I think its one of those great colours for during the day that you could just grab in the morning and apply on the run. Tiramisu is a sheer peachy/pink with a gold shine to it, this colour is really wearable and I think it would suit most skintones.

Essie Recessionista

As I was hunting through my nail polish collection, I decided that I needed to get with the program and ditch my summer brights (the summer is gone and it aint coming back - she weeps) for a more suitable shade for the Autumn.  Essie Reccessionista (love the name) fits the bill and is one of six shades from the Stylenomics collection. This polish is a rich deep plum shade which is just perfect for the colder weather and darker nights. We all know how much Essie is raved about in the blogging world, I personally love the new diffusion range with the wider brush and brush and new formulation but is there anyone out there who doesnt like Essie ??
