Friday Night Nails

On my nails tonight are two colours by OPI for Sephora.
What else would I wear to go with my red lippy today but glamourous gold super sparkly nails.
I am wearing two coats of Looks Like Rain, Dear which is a beautfiul gold nail polish with flecks of holographic glitter in it, then one coat of Only Gold For Me which is another gold glitter polish but the flecks of
glitter are much larger.
The polish was easy to apply and dried quickly as you would expect from OPI nail polish. I really cant say a bad word about it - I use it when Im doing nails professionally and find that it gives me the best finish. Im really loving this, the camera really doesnt do it justice. I bought my nail polish from Ebay for around £8.

Have a lovely weekend everyone

Lipstick Fridays

Today Im wearing another lipstick which I have owned for a while - when I first bought it I wore it silly then after a while it got dismissed to the back of the make up drawer ! Im so glad Im doing Lipstick Fridays because I had completely forgotten how much I love this lipstick. So todays lipstick is the beautiful Bobbi Brown Lip Sheer in Ruby. This is a fantastic sheer red lipstick and I think this looks perfect for during the day if you want a more gentle shade of red, I think this would also look fantastic on paler skins. Its a sheer lipstick so yes it wears off more quickly than a matte but its definately one to go for if you want a more natural pop of colour.

Now for the really annoying bit !!
Today Ive rediscovered my perfect red lipstick - I was looking for the link to show you where you could purchase this gorgeous colour and Ive found out that its been discontinued !! Aaargh !! I have spoken to my local Bobbi Brown counter and they have assured me that there are other colours in the range which are similar to this, so all is not lost !! I will keep you updated as to whether I find a dupe for this but in the mean time if any of you know of a dupe for this lipstick I would be eternally grateful xxx

Bioderma Crealine H20

I am in love.....
Yes in love with my Bioderma makeup remover. Bioderma Crealine is the best selling make up remover in France and a makeup artist's favourite. This is a micellar solution which means it combines oil and water to make a gentle non-greasy, cleansing solution which is un-perfumed, hypoallergenic, has a neutral PH and is soap free so is great for all skin types, especially sensitive skin.
I usually find that I gravitate towards something quite oily to remove my make up so it doesnt dry my skin out but this remover feels like water (which is the main ingredient) and doesnt leave an oily film on your skin. Bioderma Crealine emulsifies the dirt and this is why it is so fantastic at removing every last inch of your makeup. I have extremely sensitive eyes - so I have to watch what I use to remove my eye make up but this does the job quickly and easily. I soak some cotton pads in the liquid and use these to cleanse my face until all my make up is removed. You also have to remember to gently dry your skin after using it - I generally dab my face with a clean face cloth. You dont have to but I usually follow this with my favourite cleanser.
The only drawback is you cant buy this in the UK but I found my 500ml bottle on Ebay for about £12.50, they also have smaller bottles if you want to give this a little try.

What is your favourite makeup remover ?

Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman

Lately Ive been reading lots of reviews on the new Real Techniques brushes by Samantha Chapman and frankly Ive been feeling rather left out. I have always been a huge fan of Sigma makeup brushes but I thought it was time for a little change, so a few weeks ago I took the plunge and ordered the Real Techniques Core Collection kit to see how I would get on. These brushes are made from Taklon which is a synthetic and each brush head is hand-cut for the perfect shape which allows for precise application.

The Core Collection is a set of four brushes in a fantastic little brush holder which is great for travel and can also be used as a stand so your brushes can be kept safe and in perfect condition.

The brushes are 100% cruelty free and are colour coded so you can easily choose the correct brush. Your base is orange, your finish is pink and your eyes are purple. I think that the colour coding is a fantastic idea for beginners who are overwhelmed at the amount of brush choices out there and the brushes also have the names on the handles so you know which brush to use for what, for the more experienced among us it makes it easier to find the correct brush when your in a hurry.

In your case you receive a buffing brush which is for applying powder and mineral foundation, a contour brush which is perfect for applying highlighter, a pointed foundation brush for use with a liquid foundation and a detailer brush to apply your concealer.

The Buffing Brush
This is a very soft brush which has a slightly smaller head than the Sigma round top kabuki brush(F82). I have also used this to apply foundation and achieved the perfect finish.

The Contour Brush
This has a tapered domed head which makes it the perfect size to apply your highlighter or contour powder.

The Pointed Foundation Brush
This brush is quite small for a foundation brush but the size does make it perfect for applying foundation round your nose and eyes. I have been using it to apply my undereye concealer with excellent results.

The Detailer Brush
This brush is very small which makes it perfect for covering blemishes or any problem areas that you might have, you can also use this as a lip brush.

Overall Im really happy with these brushes - they are incredibly soft, fantastic to work with and most importantly they dont shed hair over your face when your applying your make up. I purchased these brushes from
Love Make-up for £20.99 which I think is an excellent price for quality brushes. I have also ordered the Stippling Brush to give it a try which I will be reviewing on here once I receive it.

What make up brushes do you use ?
